Bandleader Vote: Proposed Summit Schedule Change

After internal review, we've decided to hold a VOTE for whether to change the Summit schedule for Weatherstock IX. This is not an open debate; there are less than 3-weeks remaining before the event, and advertising has already begun. We will not be revisiting whether to include 19 bands; that decision is final. We also will not be building in slack-time for a possible server crash; Turbine/StandingStone made changes after last year, which we hope will prevent such disruption; everyone is affected equally by a server crash, and agreeing to participate in the first place acknowledges that this could happen. We will not be changing the parameters of the summit vote either; there is no perfect method (we have debated this at-length over the years) and we will not experiment at this late date.

This forum vote is only for whether to adjust the announced summit schedule, to account for the addition of 3 slots to the summit schedule. Only bandleaders will be allowed to vote. The vote will only be open for 4-days, and will require a significant majority of bandleaders (13 of the 19 bandleaders) to vote in favor of the change (non-votes will be counted as ‘no change’); otherwise we will continue with the already-announced schedule.
