re: Important Weatherstock Information

Reminders for Summit Competition (Sat. June 14):

Bandleaders: use the /backstage channel to chat with LMB personnel during the show.  Please visit weatherstock.guildlaunch.com also.

LMB staffers will handle advertising for the event; assist them by providing info in a timely manner.

Band competition is currently scheduled from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm (/servertime, EDT) on Saturday June 14.  Your set-time was chosen randomly.

Competition Schedule:

2:00-2:15 - Under The Sunlit Sky

2:15-2:30 - The Shades

2:30-2:45 - The Rolling Kegs

2:45-3:00 - Runic Knights Orchestra

3:00-3:15 - Breakfast Club

3:15-3:30 - Die Meisterbarden von Bree

3:30-3:45 - A Rock And A Hard Place

3:45-4:00 - Muckin Fuddle

4:00-4:15 - Notenzauber

4:15-4:30 - The Remediators

There are other bands/events scheduled from noon until 2:00 pm; please do not just show up to play an impromptu set beforehand.

Travel: There will be a guided (and guarded) mounted procession from the Forsaken Inn to the Summit of Weathertop starting at 1:00 pm /servertime (EDT).  Nearest stables are the Forsaken Inn, Candaith's Camp (from Saeradan's Cabin), and Ost Guruth.  You can arrange separate travel with LMBers in /backstage.

Each band has 15-MINUTES TOTAL time on-stage at the summit.  This includes setup, MC-intro, song queuing, banter, encores, emoting, everything.  That's 15 minutes total, no extra for encores even if/when the audience asks; it isn't fair to the other bands to allow anything more.

The Stage is the rock-pile near the middle of the Summit of Weathertop.  Bands will stand/play on the rock-pile so that the audience can see them.

Don't form fellowship/raid until band members are present next to you at the Summit (avoids sound bug).  This includes forming fellowships to layer-wrangle or to help people find the location (also causes sound bug).  Let LMB Security Staff help with layer-wrangling and transport, use /backstage channel to contact them.

Each band should be in a raid at the Summit well before getting on the stage.  Due to lag, distance and sound bug issues, please (re-)form your raid at the Summit.  You can wait your turn off to the side/edge, just don't fall/jump off the cliff until after the show (nearest rez circle is at Ost Guruth).

Please do not hold a practice at the Summit during the event, as this will confuse the audience and distract from other performers.  You can hold a quick sound check if necessary (e.g., single notes to hear instruments).

Please do not take the stage for your set until the LMB Stage Manager tells you to do so in /backstage channel.  When the previous set ends, you can stand near the stage.  The Mistress of Ceremonies will give a brief introduction while you set up on-stage.  Plan for about 12-minutes of music during your 15-minute set.

Sound bug fixes:  If you have it: 1) drop raid, then 2) relog.  If someone disconnects: 1) drop them from raid, 2) reinvite when they log back in.

Weatherstock Concert Series (WCS):

LMB staffers will handle advertising for the event; assist them by providing info in a timely manner.

Each band plays a 60-minute set (this includes setup, intro, banter, queuing, all encores, etc.).  The last band in a show can play a longer set, but please be considerate if there is another WCS show scheduled later that day so that folks can take a break.

LMB personnel can be contacted through the /backstage channel during the event.

An LMB Stage Manager will introduce you at the beginning of your set.

Feel free to advertise your regular concerts during your WCS set, whether on Landroval or other servers.  Please refrain from direct kinship recruiting.

Sound bug fixes:  If you have it: 1) drop raid, then 2) relog.  If someone disconnects: 1) drop them from raid, 2) reinvite when they log back in.
